Honda Hobbit Camino Express CDI Ignition System

Honda Hobbit Camino Express CDI Ignition System

1977 Mopeds

Item: 3008

Finally a cheap and ripping CDI unit for the Honda Hobbit, Camino, PA 50, PA50 II, and FA50.

This CDI setup puts out massive amount of ignition power and lighting power. Bright, bright lights, and throws a strong bright blue spark, allowing you to open your gap up a bit for a larger flame kernel.

Wires from the stator are bullet connector ready and plug right into many boxes out there like the coveted Yamaha Jog box, and the flywheel works perfectly with the stock points cam too! The Jantel box that ships with this has a 5-pin connector you need to put some wires on, but it has a nice retarding 2-stroke timing curve!

Awesome CDI

Great CDI, mega bright lights and easy to set up, as it uses the woodruff key. You can use your stock cam taper or the one it comes with. Also a plus, this CDI can be paired with a couple boxes in addition to the Jantel box that it comes with, including the 1977 Blue Racing CDI box that, although is not curved is unrestricted, as well as the famed Yamaha Jog boxes. And it's cheap. What are you waiting for, buy it!
Works Great.

This setup works great. You seriously need to get a voltage regulator for your lights. I blew a 55w headlight in two blocks. I reused the stock taper because the new one made the flywheel rub on the coils. My wires were also colored differently than what is shown above. Black and red wire goes to CDI power. Blue and white goes to cdi timing. Red goes to head/tail light. I left the rest unwired. You will also need to get the following kit to hook up everything to the cdi box that 77 supplies: http://www.dratv.com/6wicom.html. Have fun.
pure garbage.

This was my second cdi for the same bike. What I got is completely different than pictured or my first one- different wire colors- cheaper pick-up- and a coil that broke just by handling it(besides the non-changeable wire that is too short and wont fit the application. And now I get to test each wire one by one to figure out the color coding and hope this pile of cheap crap works. YaY thanks.
well its a review
